Odd Obsessions was formed in 2020 in the Netherlands. On 1-8-2020 they released their first extended play called ‘Self-Reflection of A Pessimist’ in collaboration with Bold Studios, marking their official debut! The band consists of five members, with Roel Smits on lead vocals, Bas Giebels on drums, Roel van Breukelen on bass guitar and finally with Petar Drandarov and Rens den Otter on guitar. Odd Obsessions identifies their music with an escape from daily life and the daily dialogue, where people can be their true selves and expose their craziest, weirdest, or even unidentified obsessions. The band maintains a heavy metal esthetic with hints of widespread variety of genres, making it a place for everyone to relate to.

Odd Obsessions is in 2020 opgericht door Roel Smits (lead vocals), Bas Giebels (drums) Roel van Breukelen (bassguitar) ,Petar Drandarov (lead/rhythm guitar) en Rens den Otter (lead/rhythm guitar) te Geffen (NL). Op 1 augustus van dat jaar werd hun debuut E.P. genaamd ‘Self-Reflection of A Pessimist’ uitgebracht. Odd Obsessions identificeert zijn muziek als een ontsnapping aan de dagelijkse sleur en dialoog, waarin eenieder echt zichzelf kan zijn en haar gekste, vreemdste en ongeïdentificeerde obsessies kwijt kan. De band kenmerkt zijn muziek door een heavy metal esthetiek met hints van een wijdverbreide verscheidenheid aan genres, waardoor het een plek en gevoel vormt waar iedereen zich mee kan identificeren.
